ASD/Autism

With the spectrum of ASD being very large, children and young people with this diagnosis require a vast variety of assistance. Our Helping Hands are experts in their field, able to provide and adapt to personalised care and education plans.

ADHD

Helping Hands who support children with ADHD and/or ADD, often alongside other diagnosis such as autism and PDA are experienced and knowledgable in strategies that help children with focus, life skills and access to learning.

Cerebal Palsy

There is wide variety in the types of cerebal palsy a child or young person may have and the care, assistance and therapies they may require.  Our Helping hands are experienced in providing the required daily care for such needs. 

Genetic conditions

There are currently over 6,000 genetic conditions which affect a child or young persons daily life. Our Helping Hands have a wide range of experience in the daily care and education needs of those affected, both pre and post diagnosis.

Dyslexia/Dyscalculia

In diagnosis where the need can often be mainly education based, our expert tutors and therapy service providers leverage their knowledge and skills to provide a holisitc approach to education progession, working on a child-led and focused initiative.

SEMH

Around 15,000 Children are living with a SEMH diagnosis, with appropriate support children and young people can begind to reengage with learning, build trusting relationships, advantage a positive approach to life skills.

Complex medical needs

Many children with complex medical needs such as epilepsy, visual impairments, acquired brain injuries or who are deaf and/or deaf-blind can often have a crossover in diagnosis with which our Helping Hands provide 1:1 and 2:1 care to meet care and education needs.

Visual Impairments

Amongst the wide range of visual impairments are also the effects they can have on children and young people. Our Helping Hands assist and support with all care needs affected my sight from adjusted learning to safety life skills and navigation support,

Speech language and communication

There is wide variety in speech, language and communication difficulties, our experienced Helping Hands provide access to learning, social inreraction and key life skills through visual support, communication tools and therapies.

Tutoring

Tutoring often plays a pivotol role in the relationship between education and children with SEND and complex medical needs. However, we ofcourse support all children and young people, with or without diagnosis.

There is often a need for additional support outside of a school setting, to provide support before exams, address missed schooling, provide additional overall support where attention or learning styles has affected the current education, and even for children currently not in education; wether this be due to a change in provisions or exclusion. Tutoring can help to bridge the gap.

EOTAS packages

EOTAS (Education Other Then At School) is often a last resort for many families and children, either due to profound needs or after experiencing failure in placements, often resulting in a young persons adversion to traditional education.

Our EOTAS packages offer comprehensive educational and healthcare support to children and young people who have this stipulated within their EHCP, uniting care and education needs through tutors, TA’s, nurses and HCA’s through one service provider, establishing a uniform support package and continuity in care. Both in the home and in the community

Ad-Hoc Sitting

Ad-hoc sitting supports children with all diagnosis and of all abilities; both pre and post daignosis; this service offers short-term childcare for children with SEND and medical complexities, provided by experienced and medically trained professionals which provides a safe ad-hoc solution to support both parents and childrens needs.

A great short-term ‘babysitting’ solution to cover parents ad-hoc child free plans, in the comfort of your own home, with added peace of mind.

 

SEND Nannys

Having a nanny is often an integral part of life for many families, and often like with many mainstream services, the capabilities to support children with SEND and complex medical needs is overlooked.

Our specialist SEND Nannies offer full-time, part-time, after-school and international nannying.

Our introduction process is designed to ensure that we fully understand your requirements and match you with the most suitable specialist for your family, through a thorough onboarding process resulting in a streamlined integration into the family. Carer/PA Services

Carers and personal assistants (PA’s) are vital in the day-to-day support of famlies with children and young people who have SEND and complex medical needs, by supporting parents and care givers with physical tasks, covering waking nights or just lightening the overall load, as well as providing essential care to those who need the extra help to live safely and comfortably.

Our carers provide not only provide essential care, but warmly offer companionship, and consistency—often becoming a trusted and reassuring presence for both the person they support and their family.

Respite services

Respite services for children with SEND and complec medical needs are a vital lifeline for families, offering parents and caregivers a much-needed break to rest, recharge, or focus on other responsibilities.

This service supports respite in the comfort of the childs own home and in the community providing a positive change of scenery, new experiences, and the chance to build relationships with different carers in a safe, nurturing environment. This balance of rest for parents and enrichment for children helps to strengthen the whole family, reducing stress and supporting long-term wellbeing.

All Helping Hands are self employed, fully vetted and insured (often OFSTED registered) and set their own rates of pay.

All prices below are an introductory example and do not include the SENDHH fee of  20% +VAT.
